The Sandbox Network nurtures innovation and implementation through a convergence of academic technology, engaged scholarship and social entrepreneurship.

Welcome to the Digital Media Sandbox Consortium (DMSC), a growing collaboration of individuals, institutions, communities, networks and initiatives! DMSC aims to enhance primary, secondary, higher education and corporate facilities by promoting the adoption of “Engaged Technology,” the integration of scholarship of engagement/service learning principles with multi-media technological innovation.

Community. Data. Analytics: Can you do the future?

What’s new in DMSC:

Watch this Web site or check out our calendar for news and information regarding the "State of Engagement" that the DMSC has declared, and its growing movement across the southeastern United States and beyond.

With the help of YouthspeaksNashville, TN Campus Compact, and TedxNashville, DMSC is currently planning a TedxNashville Youth Day on Nov. 20th,   at this site. This new event, modeled after the popular TED: Ideas worth spreading format, is a locally organized event that provides Nashvillians of all ages with the opportunity to explore wide-ranging topics and ideas and share their findings with a larger community.

DMSC Governors Challenge Fall 2010:

We are currently looking for judges and participants in our national, NCAA-like model collaborative competition, called the Governor’s Challenge (Thanks to the Governor’s Office of TN).

A Serious Game for the Wicked Problem of Networking Education. If we can grow championship athletes, we can grow championship scholars!

Deadline for university entries and virtual institute/open judge registration: October 1.
